I dislike the insecure bureaucrats of USA

My belief is that the most insecure people on Earth are the top most bureaucrats in United states of America. Planning the most wrong things, attacking nations with whom they don't have any relation, double-crossing nations by trying to enter into diplomatic friendship with those nations and sponsoring terrorist attacks in the same nations. USA is the greatest strategic partner in this century for India, but USA is selling latest F-xx fighter planes to Pakistan.

U.S. wants peace around the world but attacks Afghanistan, Iraq and supports Israel for war in Lebanon and Syria, proposing a war against IRAQ, conducting mock warfares to incriminate small nations.

If US is not there the world (not sure about the economics) but a more peaceful place. U.S. developed TALIBAN against USSR forces. Better all nations of the world neglect USA and that day would be the greatest day. I don't know why suddenly I'm writing this. But my instincts says this and I have written this.

Understanding myself.... It's a cycle!!!

The thought always arises in the mind of almost of every teen or a teen who just came out of the teen-hood - "I have to achieve something 'great' in life". Nowadays in additon to the above question there is one more which arise - "What is the goal/purpose of my life? (say for any being's life)" For 1 year of conscious search and 23 years of unconscious search there is not an iota of progress in the process of finding the answer.

I had certain confusion for the past 2 years in terms of my "career". Never worried about that for the past 22 years and suddenly a labyrinth of confusions came over. My childhood (immature/unlearned) ambition to be a civil services officer. Once joining the company I got myself attached very profound with the work I'm currently pursuing (Again as a CS engineer in India I was expected to join a softwarre company). I disliked the job to the core at the same time did it with sincerity to the core. It is very difficult to describe this oxymoron. It is difficult to believe that I have completed 30 months complaining and 4 months non-complaining (totally 34 months of experience). Something which made me move with this job is my lack of time (my decision) to pursue/ identify my interest due to the time spent in office (10-14 hours) ,my laziness and my deep attachment to any work that I do.

One more reason to go beyond what I am curretly doing is the psychologists call the paralysis of analysis. Only there is analysis and no action out of the analayis. Thinking, thinking and still thinking, but no action out of the thought process.

Currently I believe i the greatest phase in my life due to path which I have started treading. Questioning anything and everything in me not questioning others. Quest for the answers is a very tricky path. I believe I can make it. If I make it the world would be the greatest place to live. As one of my friends placed in his quote "There is only one thing which you can change in this Universe and that is YOU!!" What a simple thing to say but the toughest to practise.

I shall update this blogspace everytime I feel I made a micron of progress in the Quest for truth... Hope I succedd in the quest and the blogspce is updated frequently

Materialism and India: Where are we going?

"MATERIALISM", the philosophy on which the entire world is moving currently without knowing they are pursuing materialism is a hot topic among philosophists. Below I present my novice view on materialism. Arguments are welocome. :)

Mahatma Gandhi: the Great Soul, viewed independence not in terms of gaining freedom from a foreign rule but independence for every downtrodden in this country from the materialistic clutches of the s. He said "Materialism is inversely proportional to moral and ethical values". More materialistic we are, less the moral values which are imbibed within us. Less materialistic we are more the moral values. I agree 100% to this.

Materialism , Materialism, Materialism.... day by day materialism is burgeoning in the country of spiritualism. What is materialism? Attaching oneself more towards matter/substance( money, possession, riches. etc.). There is saying "Earth provides everything for a man's NEED, but not for his GREED". Materialism, leads to greed. Greed leads to all kinds of trouble. U.S.A.'s greed lead to 2 wars and huge loss of lives. Japan's greed lead to 2 atom bombs being tested in live environment. Jinnah's/Nehru's greed (I won't blame one) lead to the partition. Every devastating greed mentioned above had materialistic direction involved.U.S.A. wanted to be bring under it's control the world's oil production/marketing. Japan wanted to conquer other nations which finally fell due to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Nehru/Jinnah fought the power struggle to rule the nation and thus the partition. Everything mentioned above involves greed which is due to the materialistic ideals of people.

Mahatma Gandhi viewed independence as freedom for every common man and to generate a livelihood of their own 'Swadeshi'(Product development rather than service-oriented as we say in industry terms). Only product development companies live for a long time and are sstable. What a visionary he was? For him Independence from the British rule was a step on the ladder to reach the above goal in which every Indian was independent, that is what real independence is. Was he right or wrong? I let you people to decide. But people like Nehru and others who proclaimed to followed Gandhi viewed independence from the British as the final destination and were materialistic where the "power to rule" the 300 million was the material. There is no difference, then the British ruled, now the politicians rule and the common man sucks!!! Gandhi was severely disappointed when he found Nehru and other followers of him never took over his ideals to implement. That's why he never went even to the Independence proclamation by Nehru. Then started India's downfall, many thought India was independent and it is going to be a success story. The real truth is India and Indians were happy under the British than now. The people who argue against the above predicate I would like to say something, I heard the below statement from one of the acquaintance of Gandhi during an interview on August 15Th, 2009 in a news channel and it goes like this: "We were happy then than now" the golden words from the man who was living with Gandhi. He belongs to Tamil Nadu and was with Gandhi during the twilight of his life.

Young India's materialistic attitude
I'm not saying I'm not materialistic, but less materialistic when compared to most of us but trying hard to move myself towards the Gandhi's school of thought as that is a permanent ideal, everything else is temporary. India has turning itself into the western (specifically U.S.) style of living and they started to consume conspicuously rather for the need. The recession has taught the people of U.S. a great lesson. People were consuming more than what is needed and people felt their lives were ruined during this recession. That is not the truth, recession didn't ruin their lives. They lived all their lives with comforts which were not needed for survival, when it was difficult to retain or acquire the comforts they felt their lives were ruined, actually they were experiencing a new way of life rather I would say the real life.
Many people understood that they could live happily without many comforts and their comforts were just for their social status (for conspicuousness) rather for their need.

For the past decade India is also trying to navigate through the philosophy of conspicuous consumption i.e. only for showing off that they are also "socially" well-off rather than their need. At the end of the day have we ever thought for a minute after all this struggle chasing money finally we are living for others not for ourselves. I get to laugh when I think about this and Gandhi comes to my mind. I would like to quote Thoreau here:

"Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after"

The strongest man in the world till date lived with two sets of dhotis and a cup of goat's milk. We are nothing in comparison to him.Yes, when he uttered a word 400 million people listened. Do even a few 10s of people know us. But we require lakhs of rupees every year, a car, a big bungalow (not even one) just for the sake of showing others that I live. Please ponder over this. Satisfying the need is very easy. Satisfying the greed when it steps in is the root cause of all evils in this world for which the materialistic ideal is not going to help. Live "Great" within you and for showing others that you live great.

We must try to reduce our materialistic attitude and every individual grows morally. If every individual becomes less dependent on materials and not a slave to any possession means he is becoming really independent. This independence is what Gandhi believed in. We need to strive for this.

We can give a try...

I would like to end with a quote from Thoreau

"It is preoccupation with possessions, more than anything else, that prevents us from living freely and nobly "

Mandate 2009 - Indian voter lost in Tamil Nadu

Today in India we had the general elections for the federal government and convincingly the incumbent government is going to rule the country for about half a decade. I can't think about this happening. I thought it would be a hung parliament and almost every citizen thought it would be too difficult for both UPA and NDA to come to power so easily. But now a big turn-around. UPA is reigning supreme.

Tamil Nadu ministers did injustice to TN and the nation as a whole for self interests all because they are from the most criminalised, unruly, hooligan party of DMK.

An example is the telecommunication Minister - A. Raja - The spectrum allocation which involves a scandal of almost a whopping 65,000 crores. This needs to be investigated by CBI.But it won't be as he is a minister from D.M.K. an important alliance partner of UPA. I don't know how Manmohan Singh the so called "person of integrity" doesn't whistle blow for the good of the nation. All for retaining the power at the centre. No one is incorruptible in this world.

He is an MP from a state of TN and also from DMK. The grand-old man of DMK and the current Chief Minister of TN Mr. Karunanidhi and his family would do anything for their own growth.
But how DMK wins 27/40 MP seats? Simple. Money power of the ruling party and polarising the poor and the downtrodden people in rural areas by giving them rice for Re. 1. Why are they announcing the plan to give rice at Re.1? Because there are so many poor people and still want them to stay poor. Why can the government think of schemes to improve the life conditions and per ca pita income of the poor people so that they can consume good quality rice at a nominal price through the PDS. Politicians always think and plan for the people in the wrong dimension and the rural masses who are not capable of thinking and too emotional think that the person who gave them rice for Re.1 is there choice.

It is mutual, the government doesn't plan for the people in the right dimension and the people don't vote who sincerely can plan for them in the right dimension. They keep on voting for either DMK /AIADMK. There are a whole lot of independent candidates without money power campaigning for the election. But it is a curse on the people of TN who are voting continuously for party symbols rather than the candidates. This mentality should change amongst people of TN as well amongst the people of India.

When people start voting for their own welfare instead of their party's/leader's welfare then everything will change.
